Our Bio:

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Stamp Campaign (IBDSC) is a national effort which has been started to assist in the finding of a cause and cure for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The Campaign is based on the theory that awareness must be raised in order to enhance funding for intensified research.

Our Objectives:

Our four main objectives are as follows: a) raising awareness of Inflammatory Bowel Disease b) enhancing funding c) intensifying research and d) urging the immediate acknowledgment and acceptance of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. We believe that each one of these objectives follow directly after each other in a domino effect. These four main objectives lead to our two goals.

Our first and immediate goal is convince the United States Postal Service to issue an awareness stamp for IBD. The final goal of the Campaign is to find a cure for IBD. Therefore, our theme is a "vision" for a postage stamp to first help raise awareness of IBD. Our "destination" is to find a cure, and we assure you that the Campaign won't stop or lose hope until we do.

Our Construction:

All objectives and goals assist in constructing our components. All major components of the Campaign are portrayed on its website. Our major components are as follows:

In the IBD Everything section of our website you'll be able to dig up practically any information regarding IBD and the latest research for the cause and cure. The Breaking News and Events sections of our website will enable you to keep yourself up-to-date with the latest news and events regarding the Campaign. We urge the acceptance of this disability in our Advocacy section, where you'll be able read up on latest advocacy efforts in the Campaign. Lastly, you'll be able to learn about the director of the Campaign, Gideon J. Sofer (in his My Story section), and find out how this Campaign came to be.

We're Survivors:

The IBD Stamp Campaign takes this attitude after Lance Armstrong's Foundation which is seeking to find a cure for cancer. The attitude is as follows: recognizing yourself as a "survivor" rather than a "sufferer" if you are one who is currently afflicted with this illness. We guarantee that a positive attitude such as this goes a long way in being able to withstand the illness, as well as being able to lead a successful life; indeed, if there enough people with this attitude, we will surely find a cure for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and many other illnesses in the very near future.
